Cambodia – The happiest country to visit

Given the recent history of Cambodia, you might wonder why I refer to it as the happiest place on earth. Well, there is the real reason, if you know what happy means in Cambodian slang. Cambodia is in Southeast Asia. It is bordered to the west of Thailand, Laos and Vietnam in the northeast.

Reign of Terror is a phrase often used, but not when it comes to the Khmer Rouge. The group performs what can only be called bizarre policies and was able to starve and murder of about twenty percent of the total population of Cambodia. Reign of terror was finally ended when Vietnam invaded and pushed the Khmer in small, isolated country in the far north.

Thailand is a very touristy, so I went to the wilderness Cambodia.
When you walk through the capital Phnom Penh, it seems as if nothing had happened. Signs literally say “Happy Dinner”, “happy pizza” and so on. Gosh, these people are happy. As you might think, fortunately has a special connotation in Cambodia. Used as a spice, namely, it is clear that in the food sector.

At the end of the day, I found a great place to Cambodia to enjoy, regardless of his past and a Happy Meal. So go ahead and take off to Cambodia, but try to remember as a happy meal!
